Before we discuss how to parent, it'd better to understand what parenting isParenting is the process of supporting and promoting the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood. It is a long life process that's not simple and required so much efforts. However, once you've succeeded parenting, your children will feel better about themselves and their abilities.

Why good parenting is very important for your children? Because it would not only affect themselves now, but also their whole life. They tend to have a good careers, more healthy, and happier family when they become parents.

Parenting is considered to be the most difficult job. However, it's far easier if you can discover ideas that have worked well for thousands of other parents. The most choices you have in responding to your children's behavior, the more likely you are to find one that works well for your family.

Nurture your child self-esteem

The way you act and words you choose will affect you child's developing self-esteem more than anything else. Praising your children's achievements, however it's small, will make them feel proud. In contrast, belittling comments or comparing your children with other will make them feel worthless.

Catch your child being good

Effective parenting approach means you can find something to praise your children every day. Simple things like hugs and compliments means a lot for your children.

Be a good role model

You are the first people your children watch. Your children will imitate the way you behave as they easily follow other people behavior. When your children act bad, you need to think maybe they act like that because their parent act the same way. Be constantly aware that you are being observed by your children. Model the traits you wish to cultivate in your children, such as friendliness, honesty, kindness, and tolerance. Treat your children the way you expect other people treat you.
